I made four trips to Nepal during the 1990s to go trekking and climbing - all of them with Nawang.
In total, I led or organised five treks (Khumbu, Langtang valley, Dolpo, Manaslu circuit, Annapurna Sanctuary) and four mountaineering expeditions to trekking peaks (Naya Kanga twice, Paldor and Ramdung). Nawang was present on all of these trips as either Sirdar or assistant Sirdar and he did a most impressive job in often very difficult circumstances.
He is totally reliable and very organised. I have since recommended him to many people and all reports I have had back have sung Nawang's praises. I thoroughly commend him for the job that he does and I recommend him without reservation to anyone contemplating trekking or climbing in Nepal.
